Disk and Hub
Application - This assembly is used in a high temperature, high-speed application as a jet engine second stage turbine disk and hub. The Disk and Hub is categorized as a "Flight Safety Part." Made from a high nickel content steel alloy, this engine component is used in several Allied Signal jet engine models.

Materials / Processes - Although relatively large (9" dia. by 10" long), the disk and hub assembly is manufactured to extremely tight tolerances (some dimensions within .0002-3"), ensured by Logistical Support's Quality System. The assembly begins as a forging and during it's manufacture goes through various processes including; grinding, broaching, balancing, threading, inertia welding, penetrant inspection and ultrasonic inspection. The disk and hub assembly has been tested and approved by the U.S. Government for use in military aircraft, and is also used in commercial aircraft applications.
KC 135 Tailpipe Assembly
This large, complex tailpipe assembly controls the flow of hot exhaust gases to provide engine thrust on the US Air Force mid-air refueling workhorse, the KC-135. The tailpipe is a tapered cylinder, 39 inches in diameter by 44 inches long, and is made from corrosion resistant, hi-temp steel alloys.

The main body of the tailpipe is rolled and fusion butt welded from high temp Hastelloy sheet construction. External strengthening ribs are formed, then riveted and welded to the main body. The forward mounting ring is a flange welded to the body, and must maintain critical dimensions for flatness. The installation of all hardware items completes the assembly. Dimensions; 39" dia. X 44" length.
MH 53 Tailpipe
This tailpipe functions to contain and direct exhaust gases from the main engine of the MH-53 Sikorsky Helicopter.

This tailpipe is manufactured from high temp steel sheet, with riveted and welded construction. Dimensions; 20 inches diameter X 21 inches length.
AGT 1500 Vane Assembly
The vane assembly is a critical rotating component on the AGT-1500 turbine engine used on the US Army's M1A1 Tank.

Steel alloy airfoils are precisely machined and brazed in place on the slotted housing assembly. Additional processes include O.D. Grinding and Laser cutting. Dimensions; 8 inches diameter.
J-85 Accessory Gearbox Cover Assembly
Precise, rugged assembly that is mounted on the accessory gearbox of General Electric's J85 Turbine Engine for use in fighters and trainers. Hundreds are in service around the world.

Precision Machined magnesium casting, has corrosion resistant surface treatment prior to installation of assembly hardware. The final assembly undergoes pressure testing before final acceptance. Dimensions; 22" X 11.5" X 8.5"
J-85 Accessory Gearbox Cover Assembly

Track Fan Reverser
Chrome plated, machined casting serves as a load-bearing, component part of the thrust reverser system on the KC-135 aerial refueler.

Precisely machined on a programmed CNC machining center from a steel forging, then processed and chromium plated.
